The Coventry Hills Church of Christ is a body of believers in Jesus Christ as
mankind's only hope for salvation.
If you have already visited another Church of Christ you may notice our services being
slightly different then services elsewhere. We follow the New Testament description of
worship to God. We are autonomous and are governed locally by our elders. Even though
it may feel intimidating to visit a new church, we want you to feel comfortable upon
visiting with us. If there should be any questions or anything we could do for you,
please ask.
Upon arriving at our facility, you will be warmly greeted and any questions you may
have can be answered. Feel free to find a seat anywhere in our auditorium as there
are no assigned seating. One notable feature of our building is that it is not
ornate or contain many different features. Our attention is focused on praising
and worshipping God.
The first aspect of our worship is singing. We have no musical instrument as the
Lord has commanded us to sing and make melody in our hearts unto the Lord. This
style of singing is A Capella singing.
Ephesians 5:19
Prayer is another aspect of worship unto God. Spoken public prayer is a large part of our
worship services. There is great power in prayer and we express both thanks to God as well
as ask for His blessings.
Acts 2:42
On every Sunday we also assemble to observe the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Him.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26
Seperate and apart from communion, we offer a collection as the members have been prospered
so the church can further the Word of God, meet the physical needs of the church, and support
benevolent work. As our guest, you are neither asked or expected to participate unless you
wish to do so.
1 Corinthians 16:1-2
